The Crowned Trumpet

The crowned trumpet should be viewed two ways:  a trumpet emitting a crown-shaped blast and as a trumpet adorned by a crown.  

A simple illustration worn as a badge to illustrate the paradox of our relationship to our KING:

With the understanding that we are instruments in the hand of God, we exist to sing praise unto His Majesty.  We are the trumpet that heralds the KING, and the crown is a representation of the Glory of God.  Our KING gives us this crown of Glory and Honor (Psalm 8:5), deeming us righteous and worthy of respect.  Yet, and still, our crowns are given in order to cast back unto Him.  Our crown is graciously received as an outward display of Who we represent and with Whom we identify!
